Sugar Hotel
Green Point, Cape Town
- Bold design with stark shades and bright highlights
- Small and intimate offering personal service and attention
- Excellent modern facilities and services
Sugar is a double-glazed boutique hotel that looks like a futuristic furniture shop that’s part underwater blue and part outer space grey - with translucent primaries adding a bubblegum effect.
Everything bar the facilities is minimalist, from the featureless facade to the Starship Enterprise cabin-like rooms. Opposing the minimalist dictatorship a professional team has combined forces with an indomitable range of facilities and services and with their help the galaxy will be yours for the taking.
With only seven rooms, intimacy and personal service is a given. Luxuriously carpeted, cooled and hermetically sealed from the world outside, the rooms feel more like time capsules than earthly hotel rooms. Bathrooms are well appointed with twin glass basins, separate showers, underfloor heating and purified drinking water.
The restaurant serves breakfast and light lunches and dinners – although being in the midst of so many fine restaurants you’ll probably request leave from the mother ship for evening sojourns.
The hotel is well-supplied in the facilities department, making your journey all the more enjoyable: a swimming pool, neon-lit bar and lounge with fireplace and big-screen space monitor, wireless internet, air conditioning, and an in-house spa with twin treatment rooms that begs your attention.

The postcode may say Green Point but Sugar commands a position on the main road that is adjacent to De Waterkant with the V & A Waterfront and Green Point both within walking distance. |
 |

While you’ll be on the main road from town to Sea Point, Sugar is on the edge of the ever-expanding De Waterkant, which is known as the gay village and epitome of Cape style and charm. |
