O on Kloof
Bantry Bay, Cape Town
- Contemporary style with bold shapes, colours and artefacts
- Measured professionalism from arrival to departure
- In a prime location with unspoilt sea views
The latest addition to a string of design-biased hotels in the Cape that are diminutive in size and monumental in stature. Olaf Dambrowski of Hyatt renown has stamped his authoritative seal on his latest venture – O on Kloof.
The design is bold and expensive with textures as smooth as silk, neutral tones and splashes of red to highlight the monochrome effect.
Rooms vary in size and design. First prize goes to room 5 in the designer nuthouse dress. Opening onto a large Jacuzzi-ed balcony that opens onto a large ocean, the room features a spacious living area and seductive en suite bathroom. Red has been used more liberally in the other five rooms and they are similarly luxurious.
The facilities have been pared down and geared up: the juice bar spills out onto the pool and sundeck, the pool is heated and illuminated, the lounge has wall-to-wall windows, the fully equipped gym has designer dumbbells and the in-room facilities want for nothing.
The dining room opens onto a sea-facing terrace and lunch and dinners are available on request.
O on Kloof is close to Clifton – you can walk there – and near enough to the big names like Sea Point, the Waterfront, the city bowl, and De Waterkant to make it an excellent option for business and leisure travellers looking for discerning contemporary style and superior service.

O on Kloof is in the heights of Sea Point above Bantry Bay; you can walk to Clifton’s Beaches and Sea Point is just around the corner. Hop in a motor to get to Cape Town’s hottest spots in a matter of minutes. |
 |

O is at the prestigious end of Sea Point where Bantry Bay becomes Clifton, which becomes Camps Bay ; Sea Point in the other direction offers a whole other kettle of bait. |
