The Franschhoek
The Franschhoek, Cape Winelands
- Small, secluded and intimate five star hotel in the village
- Unwavering dedication to service and sophistication
- Stylish and luxurious double en-suite rooms with a private garden and pool
The Franschhoek breathes a rose-scented sigh of sophistication over its namesake village with dulcet colours and casually efficient staff attending to your slightest whim.
At capacity you’ll share this intimate boutique hotel with 10 other guests and the concierge is not your concierge, he’s your personal tour guide; your in-room phone is a mobile/cell phone; your mini bar is complimentary and they don’t offer a shuttle because you will have a personal chauffeur.
The double en suite rooms are themed with subtle contrasts overlaying rich creams and dark mahoganies and the bathrooms have travertine tiling, double basins and enormous baths. Each room has a patio that opens onto the private shaded garden.
Breakfast is a gourmet feast done to your exact specifications and, being in the heart of the village, which is the heart and soul of South Africa’s fine dining world, there are restaurants aplenty – to which your chauffeur will escort you.
The hotel pool is a cheery enclosure with bright murals and comfortable loungers begging to leave their imprint. The standard five-star offering of facilities applies but that’s not what you’re here for.
Food, wine and scenery are what you’ll be here for and The Franschhoek will assist in your quest to see, smell, taste and savour the best that this charming valley has to offer.
