Kwandwe Great Fish River Lodge
Kwandwe, Garden Route
- Supreme luxury and fine dining
- Relais & Chateaux lodge on a CC Africa game reserve
- Unparalleled encounters with wildlife and the African bush
Throughout southern Africa you will find safari lodges that offer supreme comfort, excellent wildlife, innovative architecture and spectacular scenery. A seasoned safari traveller’s favourite will always be a combination of the best aspects of several lodges.
Unless he’s been to Kwandwe Private Game Reserve and stayed at the Great Fish River Lodge. Moulded into the landscape and designed with a sophistication that is understated and purposeful, the lodge is a subtle combination of innovation and traditional standards.
With Relais & Chateaux hospitality and a CC Africa game reserve, luxury and an excellent wildlife experience are guaranteed.
The game reserve is home to the ‘big five’ including white and black rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra… the list is endless. Top this with exciting rhino tracking safaris, guided walks, canoe safaris and fascinating night drives and you’ve got a wildlife adventure that will take some beating. Interpretive and historical activities with the local historian add an interesting insight to the region’s rich heritage.
The nine air-conditioned suites, constructed from local stone and wood with thatch roofs and floor-to-ceiling glass-fronted French doors, feature indoor and outdoor showers, separate toilet, a bath with a view and a private plunge pool and game viewing deck.
The main lodge is a grander version of the suites with towering stone chimneys, spectacular river views and haute cuisine - which may or may not be served in a surprise setting.
