Knysna Quays
Knysna, Garden Route
- Comfort and privacy in an envious location
- Modern appliances and furniture with simple décor
- Walk to the quays, the waterfront complex and the town centre
The Knysna Waterfront is a recent development along the lines of Cape Town’s V & A – a working marina lined with shops, cafés and restaurants that open onto the gently lapping waters of the natural lagoon. And Knysna Quays is a modern block of self-catering apartments in the marina dedicated to easy living.
While the apartments have been fully furnished with modern appliances and expensive furniture, the décor is neutral and entirely unobtrusive. Colour themes are the basic beige, brown and cream combination with distinct local yellowwood finishes.
Apartments range from single-roomed studios fit for two well-acquainted guests to four-bedroomed monstrosities suited to everyone but agoraphobics – all offer total privacy, comfort and convenience.
Got a boat? No? Get one. Just for the pleasure of stepping off it and into your apartment, which have individual private moorings. Boat hire is a fun and safe way to explore the massive lagoon with its islands, birdlife and beautiful scenery.
Knysna and the immediate surrounds have plenty of activities and excitement on offer – from natural land and marine reserves to fine dining and late night decadence. There’s also some hair-raising adrenalin fixes and more leisurely sporting activities to keep you entertained should the idea of another perfect day on your terrace by the lagoon be too much to bear.

Knysna Quays is on the lagoon that makes Knysna the unofficial capital of the Garden Route and in the marina that makes the Knysna waterfront the unofficial centre of town. |
 |

With Alpine-like forests, rivers, lakes and lagoons, Knysna has all the charm it needs; the fine restaurants, shops and array of activities are superfluous. |
