Etali Safari Lodge
Madikwe Game Reserve, Sun City
- Intimate, luxurious and tranquil
- Spacious suites with private pools and plenty of romance
- Africa’s famed wildlife and rugged beauty in the Madikwe Game Reserve
Etali Safari Lodge is a mottled-granite and thatch haven of style and sophistication amid the rugged beauty of the Madikwe Game Reserve.
This is a lifestyle lodge. Subtle water features and an ecosystem of earthy tones create a therapeutic atmosphere of quiet sophistication. Light, healthy meals are prepared with fresh ingredients of the finest quality; a modern wellness centre offers holistic treatment and the luxurious suites provide seclusion and a reflective view of the African wilderness.
Your private whirlpool is surrounded by the African bush and the luxury inside the eight suites has been purified like a mountain stream. Clean lines, clear shapes and crisp colours are offset by heavy wooden pieces and dark polished granite.
All this surrounded by 75,000 hectares of African bushveld in a game reserve that is well on its way to becoming one of South Africa’s finest. And most exclusive: no day visitors. The park has over 300 species of bird and all of Africa’s big game in their natural habitats: lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and many types of large, small and rare antelope.
Safari activities at the lodge include morning and evening game drives and interpretive bush walks that will be every bit as fascinating as the cheetah running down its prey. A large mounted telescope at the lodge offers an incredible view of those twinkling dots in the night sky that mean nothing to us but a lot to Brian, the lodge astronomer.
