Itinerary
Day 1 – 4: Cape Town
Pick up your hired car on arrival at Cape Town airport and drive to your hotel – about 20 minutes if you don’t get too lost. Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula are easy to navigate and the roads are well sign-posted – but do get hold of a good street map beforehand.
You’ve got four days to explore the joys of Cape Town at your own pace: beaches, Cape Peninsula, Table Mountain, restaurants, bars and the list goes on until next year when you return.
• Sprinklings of Fairy Dust: Cape Cadogan • Heaps of Fairy Dust: Kensington Place
Day 5 - 6: Cape Winelands
The scenic drive to the picturesque winelands village of Franschhoek takes up to an hour and half. Check in to your hotel, discuss the wine farms in the region with your knowledgeable host and plan your wine tasting route. There are nature reserves, beautiful mountain ranges, rivers, cheese farms, picnic sites and more besides the obvious wine tours.
• Sprinklings of Fairy Dust: Le Franschhoek • Heaps of Fairy Dust: Klein Genot
Day 7: Cape Town
Take the scenic route back to Cape Town Airport and the end of your wonderful Cape Peninsula holiday.
