We just can't get enough of Kruger National Park. And we insist, nay, we demand, that you should become obsessed with it, too! As the GOAT of African safari destinations, it should be on everyone's bucket list. Or, even better, under booking confirmations in your email! From the Beyoncés of the African travel world, which is us at Out2Africa. In case you're still wondering why Kruger, here's why it's simply the best and better than all the rest.

For all the bells and whistles with an extra special cherry on top, we fangirl so hard for the private reserves in the Greater Kruger area. What's a private game reserve? Well, they're like these exclusive pockets of paradise catering to all boujee babes' whims.

Since they're private, no day visitors are allowed, which means front-row VIP tickets to the best animal sightings and a few extra little perks thrown in. Think walking safaris, night game drives, hot air balloon safaris, and so much more!

Kruger is so not a one-hit-wonder, so don't stress if your holidays and safari season just aren't twinning because the Kruger is ready to entertain you all year long. Every season has its own highlights; from animal courtships, of which some are stranger than others, (ahem, ostriches!) to the itty-bitty babies born, there's always something to see.
Who let the dogs out?
Kruger is a little like the suburbs of Cape Town in that its six ecosystems each have their own aesthetic. A bit of an overachiever, it has one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa, so there's always something to see, from the iconic Big 5 to their lesser-known cousins like African wild dogs, hyenas and cheetahs.
So dust off those binoculars and, after a fun-filled day of safari activities, lounge by the pool sipping on an ice-cold G&T. As day gives way to night, gather around the boma fire to share stories under a star-studded night sky.

If you're travelling with the whole entourage in tow, don't worry. The Kruger National Park is perfect for families. A safari holiday in Kruger is the Disneyland of Africa, as there's a little something for everyone.
Everything the light touches is your kingdom, so if you want to take a dip in the pool or indulge in a spa treatment or two while the kids are having all sorts of fun, you can. Many lodges offer babysitting services and kids' clubs with entertaining (and educational, of course!) activities.

Relax and keep airplane mode on because it's surprisingly simple to get to Kruger. Just fly in to Johanessburg International Airport in sunny South Africa, and you're almost there.
From here, there are daily flights to airstrips near the private lodges in Kruger, or you can take a road trip with a shuttle, which takes about four to five hours. So, it's a no muss, no fuss and not a single cuss kind of holiday destination (especially if you book with our fab Travel Experts who know Kruger better than anyone else!).

Life is always better with a glass of bubbles, a bath and a beautiful view! And, good news, the lodges in Kruger really know how to put the "luxe" in luxury and pull out all the stops.
Spend sunny days in your plunge pool on your private deck, have a romantic night under the stars on a sleepout deck, dine al fresco with the finest wines or have your muscles massaged into submission while watching elephants stroll by. Seriously, all of this is just a plane ride away!

Holiday destinations, like real estate, are all about location, location, location! And, honey, Kruger is some prime real estate.
Just a minor border crossing away is the tropical paradise of Mozambique. The bush without the beach combo is like a movie without popcorn. The one just makes the other one even more enjoyable!
So, take your Kruger National Park safari holiday to the next level by pairing it with the beaches in Mozambique, the ideal spot to lazily lounge with a good book and an even better cocktail.

The reefs are fishy-fiesta-perfect for snorkelling and scuba diving, and the little beach bars you'll find dotted all around hit the spot with a refreshing rum and raspberry (Mozambique's trademark tipple!).
