When should you visit Zimbabwe? This question, like so many, has multiple answers. When travelling to Zimbabwe, you must first decide why you're visiting, as this country has different things to offer throughout the year.
Are you an adrenaline junkie ready to take on Victoria Falls and all her glory? Or are you more interested in a Zimbabwean safari vibe?
If you're all about Victoria Falls, we recommend visiting Zimbabwe between April and June when the falls are in full flow. On the other hand, if you're more into game drives, sundowners and bush bubble baths, the winter season from May to October is the best time for you to get your safari freak on.
On the other hand, the low water season from August to January is a fabulous time for white-water rafting and heading over to Livingstone Island or swimming in Devil's Pool on Zambia's side. Although the wet summer season from October to April can be very hot, it's also a great time for birding and tigerfishing.

Zimbabwe isn't just a pretty face. Sure, it's dripping with history, culture, wildlife, and scenery that'll make your jaw drop, but hold onto your hat because we're about to dive into some serious UNESCO World Heritage territory...
There are three cultural stunners you'll want to add to your Zimbabwe itinerary, namely the Khami Ruins, Great Zimbabwe National Monument, and Matobo Hills. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Victoria Falls is one of the mightiest waterfalls out there, with plenty of exhilarating and relaxing activities on offer.
Oh, and don't forget about Mana Pools, a real wildlife paradise with elephants seemingly defying gravity by getting onto their hind legs to reach marula fruit high up in the trees. This area is also a must for photographers, as the lighting and scenery are beyond magical. So, Zimbabwe? It's not just another destination – it's the real deal.

The short answer is yes, yes it will – think Greater Kruger vibes but with fewer safari bandwagoners, giving it that authentic, wild feel.
You've got to scope out places like Hwange National Park, where elephants roam freely alongside lions, African wild dogs, and cheetahs. Then there's Mana Pools National Park, where elephants rule the land, and the Zambezi River sets the scene for epic walking safaris.
And don't even get us started on Gonarezhou National Park – it's like stumbling upon a hidden treasure trove reminiscent of Jurassic Park, complete with the iconic Chilojo Cliffs. Trust us, Zimbabwe's safari game is on fire!
Introducing the "Smoke That Thunders", Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls isn't just any waterfall – it's the granddaddy of them all, boasting the largest sheet of cascading water on the planet. And here's the kicker – Zimbabwe calls a whopping 75% of this natural marvel its territory, sharing the rest with neighbouring Zambia.
But wait, there's more! Calling all thrill-seekers and wildlife fanatics heading to Zimbabwe – Victoria Falls is the ultimate playground for you. It's not just a pretty sight; it's a prime safari hotspot with enough heart-pounding adventures like bungee jumping and white-water rafting to keep your adrenaline on overdrive.
